The Park Theatre is proud to present another great showcase night with three of Winnipeg’s most exciting local bands. For the March 28th show, we have À La Mode, Mitten Claps, and Trampoline. Three great bands, it’s going to be a great show. We hope to see you out there!
À La Mode is the indie pop project of Dominique Lemoine (past Eagle Lake Owls) from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Whimsically sweet melodies floating in spacious harmonies and instrumentals. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the anguish of overwhelming emotion. Her debut 3-track EP was co-produced, recorded and mixed by J. Riley Hill in Winnipeg.
Last year, À La Mode’s audio track and video for Just A Boy (http://silentshout.ca/2013/10/07/video-a-la-mode-just-a-boy/), placed her in top 12 positions on Silent Shout’s respective “best songs of 2013” and “best videos of 2013” lists.
Percussive familial pop. Mitten Claps is two brothers playing melodic alt-pop/folk oriented around propulsive drumming and intricate guitars.
Trampoline is a charismatic anti-rock outfit that formed in the summer of 2014 and has been playing regular shows around Winnipeg since February 2015. At its helm is the idiosyncratic and evocative songwriting of Michelle Lecnik and the universal connection shared between herself and fellow bandmates, Rachel Letkeman and Steve Martens. At times playful and at times poignant, Trampoline explores the highs and lows of the human experience and has you bouncing while they do.
