Well known to fans as a member of the sketch comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall, Scott Thompson is anything but your average comedic talent. After Lorne Michaels discovered them in the late eighties, The Kids in the Hall created a groundbreaking television series which ran from 1989 to 1995 on CBC in Canada and on HBO and CBS in the United States. After the Kids left television in 1995, Scott and the boys went on to write and star in their own feature film, the cult favourite Brain Candy. Thompson appeared as a regular for three years on Garry Shandling’s revolutionary comedy series The Larry Sanders Show as Brian, the assistant to Hank Kingsley. In this period and afterwards, he made numerous guest appearances on various talk shows such as Politically Incorrect, The Late Show with David Letterman and was a regular fixture on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

“If there is one venue that keeps surprising & impressing me more in Winnipeg, it’s the Park Theatre. It’s a room that makes every band the centre of attention and focus – this city is lucky to have such a great venue in our world renowned music scene."

"The Park Theatre has become one of the most important venues in Winnipeg for developing artists. The size and versatility of the space paired with great sound and venue support makes it a go-to venue for many different types of shows – intimate singer-songwriter performances, rock n’ roll/dance acts, and everything in between."
Chris Frayer Artistic Director / Winnipeg Folk Festival

"The Park Theatre is pretty much everything I look for in a venue. Great sound and sightlines, a warm inviting atmosphere, and staff who genuinely care not only about the shows that they put on, but more importantly about the people who attend them. The Park makes Winnipeg a better place to be!"
