EMO Garage inde pop singer songer writer
Bailee Woods aka housepanther writes power pop tunes for the anxious peeps of the world. Struggling on and off with her mental health and coping with OCD, music is a way to take all those negative life experiences and feelings and make them into something a little less scary and defeating.
The single she released through local tape label, Birthday Tapes is a pop song about binge watching your fave TV shows and just sitting in your feelings for once instead of running from them and learning to be more patient with yourself and others.
Bailee is working on self recording (with help from some friends) and releasing her debut album, Club Soda Lows sometime in the new year
In March of 2017 former members of the punk rock/emo band 1971 formed Rust Owl, about a month after the passing of founding member, bass player, co-writer and closest friend Cameron Glen Cranston.
As a duo, Rust Owl played their first show on April 17th of 2017 with friends M&M Meats and Miesha and the Spanks from Calgary. The following day Robert Reimer, friend and bassist of M&M Meats and friend and musician Jensen Fridfinnson on piano/synth and fiddle joined the band.
“Rust” meaning withered and worn, and “Owl” symbolizing that which is made wise by the wares of time and losses, Rust Owl is a tribute to those who have experienced life’s most difficult losses and have found the courage to carry on; in constant search to anthem, to guide and aid in any way possible.
Rust Owl will be releasing their first singles on in January of 2018.
