From the start comedian Mark Forward was a breakout talent. He was a finalist for the Phil Hartman Award for Best Up & Coming Stand-up and Yuk Yuk’s Funniest New Comic in the year 2000; since then he hasn’t slowed, winning many and being nominated for many prizes at The Canadian Comedy Awards, Just For Laughs Festival, and more.
In 2016 Mark can be seen on the History Channel show ‘Join or Die’ with Craig Ferguson as well as the new Crave Tv/Comedy Network series Letterkenny. Mark has been featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson twice, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central, and has appeared on HBO’s Funny As Hell. Mark was the host of Joke or Choke which aired on The Comedy Network & CTV Extend. And Forward played Mr. Leung, a recurring character on the hit CBC series MR. D a show he was also the writer on.
For two seasons, Forward was on the writing staff of The Comedy Network’s THE JON DORE TELEVISION SHOW, for which he received a Canadian Comedy Award for Writing on a TV Series, and played a variety of characters on the show.
Forward performs at festivals and headlines at clubs across the country including multiple appearances at the Just For Laughs Festival, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Ha!ifax ComedyFest, and the Ottawa Blues Festival. In 2015 he released his first full-length comedy album, “Things I thought of.”
